Welcome to 1JC’s Class Page!

Our teacher is Mrs Cunningham and our teaching assistant is Mrs Mortimer.  Mrs Arnaudy and Miss McGuiness also help in our classroom during the week.

Home Learning is set each Friday to be completed by the following Friday.  Reading books are changed on Tuesdays and Fridays so Home Readers will need to be in school on those days.  We also set spellings via Spelling Shed so you can review these at home BUT we will not be testing children on the list - there will be daily reviews and class spelling activities each week.

Our PE days are Monday (indoors) and Friday (outdoors). Please make sure that your child comes to school on these days in their PE kit.

Have a look in the Curriculum section of the website to find out about some of the things we will be learning this year... and don't forget to keep checking the Gallery Page to view pictures of our learning throughout the year. 

We are encouraging as much independence as possible, so the children will be responsible for emptying their book bags and handing in reading books, letters etc. We will remind the children at the beginning of every day to do this.
