We are delighted you are considering applying for a place for your child in our school, whether that being for Reception 2024 or for a mid-year place. RECEPTION 2024 ADMISSIONS

We understand that choosing a primary school for your child is a very big decision and an important one. Over the Autumn term we are warmly welcoming parents, carers and children to visit St Walburga's whilst they are considering their applications to primary school for September 2024. We hope that you will find the sessions informative and they will give you an idea of what life is like at St Walburga's.

Open Information Sessions for Parents

Our open sessions, aimed at parents and carers, will include a talk from a member of our leadership team. You will learn all about our school community and ethos, Early Years provision, our curriculum and extracurricular activities. We will also share with you our school achievements and the aspirations we have for our all children - academic and social. You will also learn more about the school admissions process and our new admissions policy for the 2024/25 academic year, and you will have the opportunity to ask your own questions. Finally, you will be taken on a school tour so you can see the whole school. You must book a place on one of our open sessions so please contact the School Office, thank you 01202 528811. 

'Stay and Play' Sessions

We are hosting two stay and play sessions where we would like to invite children and their parents and carers to visit us. The children will be able to explore our Early Years classrooms and outdoor areas. This will be less informative about the admissions process but more of an opportunity for you and your child to experience our Early Years environment for yourselves. It should be a relaxed and sociable event and we look forward to seeing you there! The dates are:

Thursday 5th October 3.30pm - 4.30pm

Friday 9th November 3.30 - 4.30pm 

The deadline for applications for September 2024 is Monday 15th January 2024.
