Welcome to 2CR!

Miss Ryland (class teacher) and Mrs Glackin (teaching assistant) are looking forward to getting to know you over the course of the coming school year. We have lots of fun and exciting topics in year 2 and we can't wait to get stuck in to learning and growing together!

We will upload photos to the website gallery throughout the year of some of the things we get up to! I will always send a Marvellous Me to let you know when there are photos to see! 

Home Learning tasks are set on a Friday. Please return completed homework by the following Wednesday. This can be returned via Microsoft Teams or handed in as a paper copy.

Spellings are set on Spelling Shed on Friday and should be practised a minimum of 5 times. 

Reading books are given out on Tuesday and returned on Friday. Please also return the reading record with a short comment about how your child read. 

We do PE on a Tuesday (outdoors) and a Wednesday (indoors). Children should come in to school dressed in PE kit on these days. 

Show and Tell
Please note there is no set time or rota for show and tell in Year 2. We love to hear about the children's news and achievements. If your child wishes to bring something in for show and tell (such as pictures from a family holiday/trip/event, certificates or trophies from sporting achievements etc.) they may do so and we will fit it in as and when we are able. Please be aware they may have to keep what they bring in school for a few days if we are unable to fit it in straight away. No toys please!
