On Thursday 15th November, we held an international day in school, to coincide with the international evening on the same day. Children in each year group spent part of the day learning about the languages and cultures of some of the nationalities most highly represented in our school. Children who speak one of the languages we learnt about were asked to become mini teachers for the day and teach children in their own class or in other classes, some language and information from the country important to them and their families. The children were fantastic mini teachers and had done a lot of preparation work for the day including maps, booklets, ICT presentations and more! The adults in school were very impressed and grateful for the children's efforts and the children who were learning about the different languages and cultures really enjoyed learning so much from their peers. Please enjoy looking at some pictures from the day.
